Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations for a leading manufacturing conglomerate in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role requires extensive CFO-level experience, IFRS expertise, and strong leadership to drive growth and sustainability.

The CFO will oversee all financial functions including treasury, tax, FP&A, and investor relations, while managing capital structure, governance, and risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including CFO or senior executive roles.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CMA, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory.
• Experience in manufacturing sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A, and investor relations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage capital structure, debt financing, and equity raising activities.
• Ensure timely IFRS-compliant financial reporting and governance.
• Implement robust internal controls and corporate governance policies.
• Analyze performance, identify trends, and advise the Board and exec team.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and regulators.
• Oversee risk management and financial health of the company.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams.
