Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Buyer II for our client in George, Western Cape. The role focuses on sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery to support manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain, 3–5 years of purchasing experience, strong ERP and MS Office skills, and a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive cost savings.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing or buyer experience.
• Experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Execute purchasing activities for assigned product categories or suppliers in George.
• Source new suppliers and manage supplier relationships for pricing and reliable supply.
• Process purchase orders and ensure accuracy of terms and conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs with production and sales teams.
• Analyze market conditions and supplier performance to identify cost savings.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies and quality issues with suppliers.
• Collaborate with quality control and logistics departments for smooth operations.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
• Maintain an updated database of approved suppliers and product specifications.
• Assist in developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures.
