Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join their George, Western Cape team. The role focuses on sourcing materials, negotiating terms, and managing supplier relationships to drive value and compliance with company policies.

You will evaluate suppliers, process orders, and collaborate with production, engineering, and finance to ensure timely delivery and cost effectiveness in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in procurement or purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
• Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in George, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, components, and services per specs.
• Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers based on price, quality, delivery.
