Job summary

SMD Technologies in South Africa seeks a Banking, Financial Services & Insurance Sales Specialist to identify and win new B2B opportunities across banks, insurers and fintechs. You will build a strong pipeline, engage multiple stakeholders, and develop tailored technology solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of B2B sales experience, a solid network in financial services, and the ability to navigate long sales cycles toward repeat business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in B2B sales or corporate sales.
• Experience selling technology or business solutions is advantageous.
• Experience dealing with banks, financial institutions, insurers, fintechs, or large corporate organizations is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of corporate sales processes and longer sales cycles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect for new B2B opportunities within banking, financial services and insurance sectors.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate clients.
• Research target organizations and identify procurement, IT, operations and business-unit decision-makers.
• Build relationships with multiple stakeholders within large organizations.
• Conduct cold calling, email prospecting, networking and other business-development activities.
• Arrange and attend client meetings and site visits.
• Identify client requirements and develop suitable product solutions.
• Promote SMD products including technology and workplace equipment to clients.
• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across the product portfolio.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, activities and opportunities.
