Paystack in South Africa is seeking an experienced Account Manager to own a portfolio of enterprise and SME merchants and platform partners. You will be the trusted advisor, deepening relationships, driving product adoption, and growing revenue across your portfolio from onboarding through renewal and expansion.

This commercially-minded, technically-savvy role requires close collaboration with Sales, Product, Solutions Architects, and Developer Relations to ensure merchants get exceptional

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing enterprise and SME clients in payments or tech.
• Strong understanding of payment platforms and APIs.
• Commercial planning, forecasting, and pipeline management ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Merchant-focused with a customer-satisfaction mindset.
• Able to work in a fast-moving environment with strong organisation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of merchant accounts.
• Lead onboarding programmes and platform integration for new merchants.
• Conduct business reviews to assess satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor account health metrics and address issues proactively.
• Drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewal negotiations with Sales.
• Coordinate with Product and Developer Relations on API deployments.
• Maintain CRM records and report portfolio KPIs.
