Job summary

The University of Fort Hare is seeking a Stores Administrator to oversee storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse environment. You will manage inventory, ensure accuracy, and support procurement activities to maintain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include receiving and inspecting materials, GRN completion, stock takes, and coordinating quotations and procurement processes, using ERP/SAP and Excel to drive accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years in Store Operation.
• Familiarity with stock control procedures, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations.
• High working knowledge of Excel.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.

Responsibilities

• Loading and offloading materials for dispatch/receipt between Stores.
• Receive, check and process incoming materials for correctness as per delivery note and purchase order.
• Notify Store Supervisor regarding discrepancies in materials receipt.
• Segregate discrepant materials for return to the supplier for replacement.
• Assist Store Supervisor in completing the GRN for goods received.
• Collect copy of GRN and arrange binning of materials.
• Receipt of goods and services.
• Daily, weekly and monthly stock takes and stock reports.
• Responsible for quotations and commencement of procurement process.
• Initiate and prepare MPR; submit PR on ERP/SAP.
• Follow up on procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Immediately notify the Store Supervisor regarding discrepancies in materials receipt if any
