Job summary

Profile Personnel is seeking a Store Supervisor to oversee daily consumable store operations with strong inventory control experience. You will lead a team, ensure accurate stock recording and efficient processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and requires strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, plus a forklift licence and familiarity with ERP systems like Fourth Shift.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification (NQF 5) in Logistics, Warehousing or related field.
• 3–4 years' stores/warehouse experience or 10 years' proven experience in stores/warehouse.
• Forklift licence and computer literacy (MS Word/Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, inspection and accurate recording of stock.
• Manage inventory control, stock issuing and distribution processes.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile discrepancies.
• Supervise store personnel to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Maintain documentation and inventory records; coordinate activities per procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Supervise and support store personnel to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
• Coordinate store activities while ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed tertiary qualification (minimum NQF 5) in Logistics, Warehousing or a related field with 3–4 years' stores/warehouse experience, or 10 years' proven experience in a stores/warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with an excellent attendance and disciplinary record.
• Experience using Fourth Shift ERP will be advantageous.
