Job summary

Profile Personnel in South Africa seeks a Store Supervisor to oversee daily consumable store operations with a focus on inventory accuracy and efficient processes. The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and requires strong leadership and stock-control skills to maintain seamless store activities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in logistics/warehousing, substantial stores/warehouse experience or a proven track record, plus proficiency in ERP

Qualifications

• Completed tertiary qualification (NQF 5) in Logistics or Warehousing.
• 3–4 years' stores/warehouse experience, or 10 years proven experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, inspection and accurate recording of incoming stock.
• Manage inventory control, stock issuing and distribution processes.
• Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Supervise and support store personnel to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
• Coordinate store activities while ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Join a well-established company seeking an energetic and analytical Store Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the consumable store. This role is ideal for someone with strong inventory management experience, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining accurate stock control in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient store operations and inventory accuracy.

Minimum Requirements

• Completed tertiary qualification (minimum NQF 5) in Logistics, Warehousing or a related field with 3–4 years' stores/warehouse experience, or 10 years' proven experience in a stores/warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with an excellent attendance and disciplinary record.
• Experience using Fourth Shift ERP will be advantageous.
