Job summary

Cash Crusaders is seeking experienced retail management professionals for Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager tracks, with a trajectory from Trainee Manager to leadership roles. The role focuses on sales growth, customer service excellence and people development in a dynamic store environment.

You will lead store operations, stock control, merchandising and admin tasks while mentoring staff to achieve targets and maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Previous retail management experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving store performance.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• A target-driven mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
• A willingness to learn, grow and take on greater management responsibility.
• Willingness to relocate anywhere in Vaal area.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and achieve business targets.
• Maximise profitability through effective management of gross profit (GP), add-on sales and other revenue streams.
• Maintain merchandising, marketing and operational standards.
• Monitor store performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure effective stock control and inventory management.
• Monitor stock levels in line with customer demand and sales performance.
• Minimise stock losses and maintain accurate stock records.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences and promote a customer-first culture.
• Monitor Mystery Shopper results and customer feedback.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Lead, motivate and develop teams to achieve business objectives.
• Manage employee performance and support individual growth.
• Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning.
• Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, systems and procedures.
• Oversee daily administrative duties, including cash-ups, safe checks, alarm checks and recordkeeping.
• Maintain high standards of operational control and accountability.
