Job summary

Ackermans in Bloemfontein is seeking a dynamic retail supervisor to optimize sales and exceed customer expectations by implementing the operations strategy and effectively managing staff.

The role requires a minimum of two years retail experience with at least one year in a supervisory or management position, and a strong focus on merchandising, stock and cost control, with a commitment to high store standards and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Two years retail experience including at least one year in a supervisory/management position.
• Outstanding merchandising, stock and cost control skills.
• Ability to maintain high store standards.
• Proven ability to influence and lead a team.
• English communication (written and verbal); second language advantageous.
• Grade 12 or equivalent; further retail/business qualifications are an advantage.

Job purpose

The purpose of the job is to optimize sales and exceed customer expectations through the implementation of the operations strategy and effective management of staff.

Minimum requirements

• You will represent and be a custodian of the brand of our store

• Be energetic and a self-starter

• Two (2) years retail experience which includes at least one year in a supervisory and or management position.

• Outstanding merchandise management , stock and cost control skills

• The capacity to maintain high store standards

• A proven ability to influence and lead a team

• You will have a keen development orientation in that you will be inspired to develop yourself and fellow team members

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) and competence in a second official language would be a definite advantage

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Further qualifications related to retail/business will be an advantage
