Job summary

Fouche & Co Recruitment is seeking a Stock Controller for a Durban-based motor dealership. You will manage and control new and used vehicle stock from receipt to delivery, ensuring accurate records in the dealership system and CRM.

You will conduct regular stock counts, process registrations and documentation, and collaborate with sales, workshop and admin to track vehicle movement. A valid SA driver’s license and Matric are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Stock Controller role within the motor industry is essential.
• Experience with dealership management systems (Automate, Kerridge, Evolve or similar) advantageous.
• SA driver's license required.
• Matric essential; further qualification in logistics, finance, or administration advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and controlling new and/or used vehicle stock from receipt through to delivery. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date stock records on the dealership's system and CRM. Conducting regular physical stock counts and reconciling against system records. Processing vehicle registrations, licensing, and documentation timeously and correctly. Liaising with sales, workshop, and admin departments to track vehicle movement and status. Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies quickly and accurately. Ensuring compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and relevant legislation. Preparing accurate stock reports for management as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a Stock Controller role within the motor industry is essential. Strong working knowledge of dealership management systems (e.g. Automate, Kerridge, Evolve, or similar) advantageous. A valid South African driver's licence. Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and administrative accuracy. Matric essential; further qualification in logistics, finance, or administration advantageous.

Remuneration & Benefits
