Job summary

Greys Personnel is seeking a seasoned Stock Controller to manage stock control and warehouse operations in our Durban-area facility. You will receive, inspect, and record stock, maintain precise inventory records, and perform regular counts and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

The role requires SAP or SAP logistics experience, ERP system familiarity, strong computer literacy and a solid grounding in stock control principles. A Matric and SCM-related certification are advantageous for success.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric). Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
• Previous experience working with SAP or within a SAP logistics/stores environment.
• Minimum of 25 years' experience in stock control, warehouse, or inventory management.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using inventory or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of stock control principles and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements in the inventory management system.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor stock levels and notify management of low-stock or overstock situations.
• Prepare stock reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate stock transfers between warehouse locations where required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Assist with internal and external stock audits.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
