Placements24 invites a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer to own the hardware lifecycle for complex embedded systems in Centurion, Gauteng. You’ll drive conceptualization, schematic design, PCB layout supervision, prototyping, and validation, ensuring signal integrity and power integrity.

Required: Master's in Electrical Engineering, 6+ years in hardware design, and hands-on use of Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro; will collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in electrical hardware design and development.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex analog and digital electronic circuits for new product development.
• Create and manage schematics using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Oversee PCB layout design, ensuring signal and power integrity requirements are met.
• Develop hardware testing and validation plans for prototypes and production units.
• Perform root cause analysis for hardware failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers on hardware/software integration and bring-up.
• Prepare technical documentation including design specifications and test reports.
• Mentor junior hardware engineers and contribute to the team's growth.
