You will perform load calculations, ensure code compliance, select equipment, and prepare BOMs while providing site support through construction and commissioning.

A Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years in electrical design, with AutoCAD or Revit MEP proficiency, is required; hybrid work and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in industrial sectors.
• Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar.
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems, low and medium voltage applications.
• Knowledge of South African electrical regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and specifications for projects.
• Perform load calculations and ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
• Select equipment and components, prepare bills of materials (BOM).
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical assistance during construction and commissioning.
• Review designs prepared by others and contribute to project planning and tendering.
• Support cost estimation and tendering processes.
