Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on building services and infrastructure development.
• Proven experience designing electrical systems for commercial, retail, and high-rise residential buildings.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting design, standby power, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure for new building projects, including power distribution, standby power, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports compliant with national standards and building codes.
• Manage electrical consultants and contractors, ensuring timely and quality delivery of services and works.
• Conduct site inspections and supervision to monitor progress and resolve technical challenges during construction.
• Perform electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, and system design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with SANS standards and municipal regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other consultants for integrated building services design.
• Review and approve electrical design submissions from external parties.
• Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to completion.
• Assist in developing maintenance strategies for new infrastructure.
