Job summary

Fancourt in George is seeking a Sports & Leisure Supervisor to oversee daily Sports & Leisure and Kids Club operations, while delivering outstanding guest service. The role requires a Grade 12, first aid training, and a Sports Management and/or Pre-Primary Diploma as an added advantage.

A valid driver’s license and at least two years’ experience in a gym or sports club environment are essential, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Sports & Leisure and Kids Club operations.
• Create and run sports and holiday programs throughout the year.
• Oversee teenagers and guest activities with strong customer service.
• Maximise profitability and efficiency of the Sports & Leisure department.
• Performance manage Sports and Leisure Attendant, Kids Club Attendant and Cleaners.
• SHEQ/HIRA daily safety checks where children use facilities.
• General administrative duties including stock takes and ordering for Sports & Leisure and pool areas.
• Address guest and member complaints promptly, liaising with guest relations for feedback.

We are looking for someone who has passion for the industry, with the ability to work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations.

We consider the following as essential:

Duties & Responsibilities

Co-ordinate daily Sports & Leisure, and Kids Club operations; The ability to create and run sports and holiday programs throughout the year; Oversee teenagers and guest activities while displaying excellent customer service skills; Maximize profitability and efficiencies of the Sports & Leisure department and making sure it tracks against the targets; Performance manages Sports and Leisure Attendant, Kids Club Attendant and Cleaners; SHEQ HIRA management requires daily attention to potential hazardous situations when children are utilizing facilities unsupervised or supervised under the care of the Kids Club staff; General administrative duties including stock takes and ordering of stock for Sports & Leisure and pool and pool loungers; Ensure extraordinary customer service delivery and guest satisfaction with the service, facilities and the variety if leisure offerings; Deal with all guest and member complaints and resolve them in a professional, timely fashion, liaising with guest relations for any feedback on Medallia and Trip Advisor reports; Ensure special requests for child care (special needs, babysitters, etc. are met.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
