Job summary

Fancourt in George, South Africa, is seeking an Attendant: Recreation to join our Sports & Leisure team. The role focuses on daily setup, supervising guest activities and driving superb customer service across all leisure facilities.

Ideal candidates will have Grade 12, first aid training, swimming experience, and at least 6 months in a gym or sports club setting. Weekend work and accommodation in George are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Daily set up and walkabout of all Hotel S&L facilities to ensure service delivery.
• Oversee teenagers and guest activities with excellent customer service.
• Promote S&L activities and services to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Daily hiring of equipment charges posted in Concept.
• Ensure extraordinary customer service and guest satisfaction with facilities and activities.

Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route.

Our Sports & Leisure (S&L) at Fancourt, is now accepting applications for an Attendant: Recreation – someone who has drive and passion for the industry, with the ability to work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent, coupled with first aid training & experience in swimming,
• A valid driver’s license will be ideal,
• A minimum of 6 months operating in a gym/sports club environment.

Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):

• Daily set up, and follow up by regular walkabout of all Hotel S&L facilities to ensure consistent service delivery,
• Oversee teenagers and guest activities displaying excellent customer service skills,
• Promote all S&L activities and services to maximize revenue opportunities,
• Daily hiring of equipment charges posted in Concept,
• Ensure extraordinary customer service delivery and guest satisfaction with the service, facilities and the variety of leisure offering.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
