Placements24 is seeking a Specialist Recruiter in Upington, Northern Cape, to lead mining and resources recruitment. You will source, screen, interview and place candidates, building a robust pipeline and partnering with clients across the mining sector.

You will manage the full lifecycle from briefing to offer, stay current with industry trends, and help grow the mining recruitment practice with a professional, results-driven approach.

About the Role

Our client, a leading recruitment consultancy, is actively seeking a Specialist Recruiter with expertise in the Mining & Resources sector to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape. This role is critical for identifying and attracting skilled professionals for various roles within the mining industry, including geologists, engineers, metallurgists, mine managers, and safety officers. You will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, building strong relationships with both clients in the resources sector and candidates with relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the mining industry's unique talent requirements, excellent sourcing skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality recruitment solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for roles within the mining and resources sector.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract specialized talent, utilizing industry networks and databases.
• Partner with clients in the mining and resources sector to understand their specific technical and operational needs.
• Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial briefing to offer negotiation and acceptance.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified professionals within the mining and resources domain.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, safety regulations, and technological advancements in the mining sector.
• Ensure a high level of candidate and client satisfaction throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain accurate candidate and client data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Contribute to the growth and reputation of the mining recruitment practice.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, with a specialization in the Mining & Resources sector.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing and placing candidates for technical and operational roles in mining.
• Good understanding of mining processes, equipment, and industry-specific roles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using recruitment tools and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Engineering, Geology, HR) is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment projects.
• A proactive approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional recruitment services.
