Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Spa & Wellness Manager for a luxurious spa in Soweto, Gauteng. You will oversee day-to-day spa operations, manage therapists and support staff, and drive profitability while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in spa management, a hospitality or business background, strong leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for wellness. Flexible hours including weekends required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.
• 7+ years in spa and wellness management with leadership experience.
• Strong financial management, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in spa management software and POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day spa operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Manage and lead the spa team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to enhance revenue, control costs, and improve profitability.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest service, treatment quality, and facility maintenance.
• Manage spa inventory, including professional supplies and retail products, and oversee procurement.
• Develop and manage the spa budget, financial reporting, and sales targets.
• Create and market innovative spa packages, promotions, and wellness programs.
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing feedback and ensuring satisfaction.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in spa and wellness management.
• Represent the spa positively within the community and to potential clients.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide updates, and foster collaboration.
