Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Social Impact Manager to lead initiatives in Soweto, Gauteng. You will design and oversee strategies that create meaningful social change, focusing on education, poverty alleviation and health through community partnerships.

This senior role combines remote strategic work with on-site engagement. You will build relationships with NGOs, government bodies and corporate partners, set KPIs, manage projects and mentor staff to deliver measurable impact in the Gauteng

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in social impact management, program development, or community development, with leadership experience.
• Proven ability in strategic planning, project management and impact measurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social impact strategy aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
• Identify, design, and manage impactful social programs and initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, NGOs, government bodies, and corporate partners.
• Establish KPIs and metrics to measure and report on social impact.
• Oversee program implementation, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
• Conduct research to identify emerging social issues and intervention opportunities.
• Manage budgets and resources allocated for social impact projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of program staff and volunteers.
• Communicate impact stories and results to stakeholders.
• Stay informed about best practices and innovations in social impact.
