Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce SEO Specialist to drive organic traffic for a Soweto-based online retailer. You will own strategy, keyword research, on-page and technical SEO, and link-building initiatives to boost rankings and revenue.

The role requires collaboration with content teams, regular performance reporting, and staying current with SEO best practices to optimize user experience and conversion on our e-commerce platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, CS or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in E-commerce SEO or related role.
• Proven track record of increasing organic traffic and rankings for e-commerce sites.
• Deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic SEO plan to improve rankings and drive traffic to the e-commerce site.
• Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-value opportunities.
• Optimize content, product descriptions, meta tags, and on-page elements for search engines.
• Perform technical SEO audits addressing site speed, crawlability, indexability, and mobile-friendliness.
• Develop and manage a link-building strategy to improve domain authority.
• Collaborate with content team to create SEO-friendly content meeting user needs.
• Monitor performance using SEO tools and report key metrics.
• Stay updated on SEO trends and algorithm updates.
• Identify UX improvement opportunities related to SEO.
• Ensure SEO aligns with broader e-commerce and marketing strategies.
