Placements24 is seeking an experienced Delivery Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the delivery network in Soweto. You will lead drivers and logistics staff, plan routes, monitor fleet performance, and ensure timely, safe deliveries with excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in delivery operations or logistics leadership, strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making, and hands-on experience with TMS and fleet software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in delivery operations or logistics leadership.
• Proven track record managing large fleets and teams.
• Strong knowledge of logistics planning and supply chain principles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the daily operations of the delivery team, including driver scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and refine delivery routes and strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Ensure the fleet is well-maintained and compliant with all safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory management at distribution points and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Implement and utilize technology and data analytics to track deliveries, identify bottlenecks, and improve overall performance.
• Foster a strong safety culture and provide ongoing training and support to the delivery team.
