Placements24 is seeking an experienced Delivery Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the delivery network in Soweto. You will lead drivers and logistics staff, plan routes, monitor fleet performance, and ensure timely, safe deliveries with excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in delivery operations or logistics leadership, strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making, and hands-on experience with TMS and fleet software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the fleet is well-maintained and compliant with all safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory management at distribution points and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Implement and utilize technology and data analytics to track deliveries, identify bottlenecks, and improve overall performance.

About the Role

This pivotal role involves managing a team of drivers and logistics staff, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational safety. You will be responsible for planning routes, managing fleet performance, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance delivery capabilities. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of logistics management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the daily operations of the delivery team, including driver scheduling and performance monitoring.
