Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Sales Representative to serve Soweto and surrounding agricultural communities. You will build relationships with farmers and agribusinesses, promoting fertilizers, seeds, crop protection chemicals, and farm machinery.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 3 years in agricultural sales, and proven ability to meet sales targets. You will travel extensively, provide product demonstrations, and contribute to farm productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in agriculture.
• Strong understanding of crops, farming practices, and agricultural inputs in the region.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

Responsibilities

• Actively seek out and develop new business opportunities within the assigned agricultural territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses.
• Understand client needs and recommend suitable agricultural products and solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support on usage and benefits.
• Meet and exceed sales targets for assigned product lines and territories.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
