Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to ensure smooth back office operations that enable the sales team to hit targets. The role focuses on executing sales support activities, maintaining accurate bids, and upholding safety, quality and environmental standards.

You will travel to various sites, apply standardized processes, gather market data, and collaborate with operations, legal and technical teams to produce timely, professional bids.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for smooth execution of Sales Support activities to provide an optimal Back Office for the Sales force.
• Motivates and ensures safety and SHEQ compliance across the team.
• Supports Lean initiatives and continuous improvements.
• Visits various sites and completes a WPI form regularly.
• Ensures all activities comply with SHEQ standards and local legislation.
• Communicates the company's mission and vision to align the department with board goals.
• Applies standardized processes and inputs for ongoing improvements.
• Informs Sales Support Manager with market data to gain competitive advantage.
• Takes ownership of results and initiates actions to meet targets.
• Prepares project schedules and calculations.
• Compiles professional bids to achieve optimum sales results.
• Reviews bids for feasibility, prices, timelines, liabilities, risks with Operations/Legal.
• Develops bidding strategy with Key Account Manager for complex bids.
• Coordinates input from other departments and submits for approval.
• Acts as the technical SPOC for assigned projects.
• Analyzes technical documentation and determines equipment needs.
• Produces CAD drawings following company standards.
• Contributes to technical documents and calculations within competence limits.
• Verifies drawings and coordinates with the engineering team.
• Attends technical meetings, site inspections and on-site work.
• Assists stakeholders on technical issues for proper implementation.
• Represents the company to stakeholders.
• Provides reports and information to Sales Support Manager on demand.
• Keeps documentation up-to-date in the ERP system.
