Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to assess needs, provide counseling, and connect clients with community resources, balancing fieldwork with administrative duties in a hybrid setup. You will collaborate with healthcare providers and educators, advocate for clients, and maintain confidential records while supporting vulnerable individuals and families across Gauteng.

The ideal candidate is SACSSP-registered with at least 3 years post-qualification experience

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with SACSSP (South Africa).
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical or community setting.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation and resources in Vereeniging.
• Excellent counseling, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in case management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop individualized care plans.
