About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce business, is seeking a creative and engaging Social Media Content Creator & Community Manager to join their team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is essential for developing captivating content and fostering a thriving online community around our client's brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for visual aesthetics, and a natural ability to connect with audiences across various social media platforms. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and distributing engaging content that resonates with our target demographic, while also actively managing and growing our online community. This position offers a dynamic hybrid work model, allowing for flexible collaboration between our office in Richards Bay and remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, create, and schedule compelling and on-brand content (images, videos, graphics, copy) for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others relevant to e-commerce.
• Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media channels.
• Actively engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and authentic manner.
• Monitor social media trends, user-generated content, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for engagement and content creation.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with broader marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
• Analyze social media performance metrics, track engagement rates, reach, and sentiment, and provide insights for content optimization.
• Assist in the development and execution of social media advertising campaigns, including creative input and performance monitoring.
• Stay updated on the latest social media platform features, algorithm changes, and best practices for content creation and community management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator, Community Manager, or similar role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative social media content across various formats (visual, video, written).
• Excellent understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and their respective audiences and best practices.
• Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), or similar.
• Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with a strong command of grammar and brand voice.
• Experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage authentically with an online community.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating self-discipline and time-management skills.
• A creative mindset with a proactive approach to identifying new content opportunities.
