Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for social impact programs in South Africa, aligning with mission and goals.
• Identify social needs and opportunities within the Free State region.
• Design and manage lifecycle of programs, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Build and maintain relationships with NGOs, government agencies, communities, and corporate partners.
• Oversee program budgets with efficient allocation of resources.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress and impact.

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized foundation committed to driving positive social change, is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Social Impact Program Manager for a fully remote position. This role will be instrumental in leading the strategy, development, and execution of high-impact programs aimed at addressing critical social issues within South Africa, with a focus on regions like the Free State . You will be responsible for identifying key areas for intervention, designing innovative program models, managing budgets, building strategic partnerships, and measuring the impact of our initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a deep understanding of social development challenges, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted programs from inception to completion in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for social impact programs, aligning with the foundation's mission and goals.
• Identify emerging social needs and opportunities for intervention, particularly within communities in the Free State province.
• Design and manage the lifecycle of various social impact programs, ensuring effective project planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including non-profit organizations, government agencies, community leaders, and corporate partners.
• Oversee program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial accountability.
• Develop robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program progress, measure impact, and identify lessons learned.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams and partners to achieve program objectives.
• Prepare compelling reports, presentations, and proposals for senior management, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of best practices, research, and innovations in social impact and international development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in International Development, Public Policy, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in program management, social impact, or non-profit leadership, with a strong track record of delivering measurable results.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing large-scale social programs, preferably with experience in the Free State or similar South African contexts.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing significant budgets.
• Expertise in program evaluation methodologies and impact measurement.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
• Proficiency in utilizing remote collaboration and project management tools.
• Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
