Job summary

Manpower Group in South Africa is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to manage WSPs and ATRs in line with SETA and B-BBEE requirements, while driving growth in SETA-funded training solutions.

The role involves engaging clients to assess needs, recommending funded options, and building lasting relationships to meet revenue targets. Knowledge of WSP/ATR processes and discretionary grants is essential, with 1-2 years in the field.

Qualifications

  • Matric/Grade 12 is required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in training and skills development.
  • Experience with SETAs, WSP/ATR submissions and discretionary grant funding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and compile Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) per SETA and B-BBEE requirements.
  • Drive sales and revenue growth through SETA-funded training solutions and Discretionary Grant opportunities.
  • Identify and engage with clients to understand their training and development needs.
  • Recommend and facilitate suitable funded training solutions based on client requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Achieve agreed business development and revenue targets.
  • Support management with WSP implementation and workplace skills development initiatives.
  • Coordinate Learnerships, Skills Programmes and YES initiatives.
  • Coordinate Discretionary Grant applications, funding reports and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of SETA, B-BBEE, funding and regulatory reports.
  • Coordinate SETA-related surveys, communications, updates and audits.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with requirements.
  • Stay up to date with changes to SETA, B-BBEE and skills development legislation and processes.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • 1-2 years' experience within the training and skills development industry, preferably within a SETA-accredited training provider or similar environment.
  • Experience in client relationship management.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • SETA processes
    • Discretionary Grant funding
    • WSP and ATR submissions
    • Learnerships
    • Skills Programmes
    • B-BBEE Skills Development requirements
  • Certification in Skills Development Facilitation (SDF), Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) or a related field would be advantageous.
Advantageous
  • Previous experience engaging directly with SETAs.
  • Knowledge of B-BBEE Skills Development requirements.
  • Practical experience with WSP and ATR processes.
  • Experience with Learnerships, Skills Programmes and Discretionary Grant applications.
