Job summary

Motus Corporation is hiring a Qualified Technician to join our Gauteng service team. The role involves diagnostic work, fault finding, and ensuring vehicle servicing stays within manufacturer time targets.

You will communicate with service advisors and customers, maintain safety and neat vehicle condition, and complete OEM training on a timely basis. The position requires hands-on mechanical skills, strong English communication, and a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician with 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience with Kia (KIA) vehicles is advantageous.
• Ability to diagnose faults and access technical information quickly.
• Strong English writing and communication skills.
• Sound customer-oriented approach and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostic work and support mechanics as set out by the Foreman.
• Carry out fault diagnosis to aid and speed up vehicle servicing.
• Ensure servicing remains within manufacturers' time targets.
• Discuss matters with service advisors and customers and provide explanations.
• Maintain vehicle care and safety standards during servicing.
• Return vehicles to customers in neat, clean condition.
• Complete OEM training within reasonable timeframes.
• Handle admin forms and documentation in the service routine.
• Draft and prepare required reports.
• Mentor apprentices, sign off logbooks, and evaluate their abilities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Participate in marketing campaigns when required.
• Perform any other duties as reasonably required.
