Job summary

Motus Corporation in Gauteng is seeking a Qualified Vehicle Technician with 3-5 years post-qualification experience to carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs on Kia vehicles. You will work with service advisors, maintain safety standards and mentor apprentices where applicable, ensuring high-quality work and timely updates to customers.

You will be responsible for accurate fault finding, training completion with OEM programs, and maintaining vehicle presentation before handover.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician with 3–5 years' experience after qualification.
• KIA technician experience will be an advantage.
• OEM product training would be an advantage.
• Excellent fix right first time track record.
• Competent with diagnostic equipment and access to service information.
• Good English communication and writing skills.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostic work and support mechanics as set out by the Foreman.
• Carry out fault diagnosis to aid and speed up vehicle servicing.
• Keep servicing within targeted manufacturer time percentages.
• Discuss matters with service advisors and customers and provide explanations.
• Maintain standards for vehicle care and safety while performing duties.
• Return vehicles to customers in neat and clean condition after service.
• Complete OEM training (online, classroom or other) within reasonable time frames.
• Handle admin: complete forms and documentation in the service routine.
• Draft and prepare any reports required.
• Mentor apprentices, sign off logbooks, and evaluate technical ability.
• Ensure effective communication with team members and other departments.
• Participate in marketing campaigns when required.
• Perform any other duties as reasonably required.
