Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks Inland is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Facility Manager to join the project team on a large-scale Multi-Disciplinary Construction Project in Gauteng. The role focuses on site facilities management, coordinating logistics, and overseeing service providers to ensure safe, clean and efficient site operations throughout the project lifecycle.

You will manage site offices, welfare facilities and temporary supports while coordinating with construction teams

Qualifications

• Experience as Facility Manager on a large construction site.
• Ability to coordinate site facilities, logistics and service providers.
• Strong organisational and safety compliance focus.
• Proactive problem-solving and stakeholder liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the effective management of project facilities and site support services.
• Coordinate the establishment, maintenance and ongoing operation of site offices, meeting rooms, ablution facilities, change rooms, eating areas and other welfare facilities.
• Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, functional and professional condition.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance and general upkeep of project facilities.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure identified defects or concerns are addressed promptly.
• Ensure adequate office furniture, equipment and general facility requirements are available.
• Coordinate temporary facility requirements as the project develops and workforce numbers change.
• Coordinate and support day-to-day site logistics requirements.
• Assist with planning and coordination of delivery, loading, off-loading, storage and laydown areas.
• Work with construction teams to minimise congestion and logistical disruptions.
• Assist in managing traffic flow and designated vehicle areas within project requirements.
• Coordinate the movement and positioning of temporary facilities and project support infrastructure.
• Liaise with relevant departments regarding material deliveries and major logistical requirements.
• Monitor logistical constraints and proactively escalates risks which may impact project operations.
• Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive and maintain a high standard of housekeeping across common project areas.
• Coordinate waste collection and removal services.
• Ensure waste and recycling areas are appropriately managed.
