Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee construction activities in Randburg. You will interpret designs, manage site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years of site engineering or supervision experience, strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction supervision role.
• Proven experience in managing site operations for building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction schedules, and translate them into site operations.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets specified standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and safety logs.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on the construction site.
