Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Site Engineer to oversee civil construction activities in the Paarl area, ensuring work meets plans, specs and quality standards while coordinating with subcontractors and site teams.

Candidates should hold a BTech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with at least four years of site supervision experience on civil projects, plus strong drawing interpretation and safety focus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a site supervision role
• BTech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience with civil construction projects (roads, buildings, earthworks)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring adherence during execution.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Conduct quality control checks and maintain site records and reports.
