Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Site Civil Engineer to oversee on-site civil works in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep schedules and budgets on track while ensuring compliance with designs and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least four years of site supervision experience, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 4 years of site supervision and construction management experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering construction activities.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of earthworks, concrete structures, and drainage systems.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents and ensure adherence.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Implement and enforce site safety regulations and environmental controls.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress reports, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
