Placements24 is seeking a qualified Site Engineer specializing in civil construction to join their George-based team. You will oversee on-site technical activities, ensure quality workmanship, and enforce engineering standards across multiple sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least 4 years of Site Engineer experience in the Western Cape, with strong drawing interpretation, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 4 years as Site Engineer on Western Cape construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily on-site construction activities per plans and specs.
• Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship; rectify deviations.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specs for teams.
• Manage junior engineers and site staff, providing guidance and support.
• Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, and subcontractors for smooth execution.
• Maintain accurate site records: daily logs, progress reports, and material usage.
