Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead major infrastructure projects in George, Western Cape. You will oversee design and execution, mentor engineers, and liaise with authorities and clients to shape growth in the Garden Route region.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related specialization.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and hydraulic modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design, and implementation of civil projects (roads, bridges, water systems).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to civil engineers and technicians.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources for timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with national/provincial standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Conduct site assessments, risk analyses, and value engineering.
• Prepare and present proposals, progress reports, and final documents to clients/regulators.
