Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Site Civil Engineer for Port Elizabeth on-site supervision of civil construction projects. You will ensure safety, quality, and timely execution of works in the Eastern Cape region.

Key requirements include a Civil Engineering degree and at least 6 years of on-site experience; ECSA registration is highly desirable. Strong leadership and coordination with contractors are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in site supervision and construction management.
• Professional registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for on-site challenges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering construction activities.
• Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks, documenting findings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team.
• Manage site logistics, safety protocols, and environmental compliance on the construction site.
• Review and approve method statements and work procedures for civil works.
