ABOUT THIS ROLE

Are you an experienced Site Agent with a strong background in roads and civil construction?

A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Site Agent to join their team and oversee the successful implementation and delivery of road construction projects in the Bergville area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified civil construction professional with extensive site experience who is confident managing projects, teams, contractors, and day-to-day site operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Oversee the day-to-day activities and operations on civil and road construction sites
• Manage the implementation and construction of road projects in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programmes
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders
• Monitor project progress, quality, productivity, and adherence to construction programmes
• Ensure all construction activities are completed in accordance with required standards, specifications, and safety requirements
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship and construction quality
• Assist with planning, resource allocation, materials, plant, and equipment requirements
• Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges on siteMaintain accurate site records, reports, measurements, and project documentation
• Liaise with Project Managers, Construction Managers, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders
• Ensure effective communication between all parties involved in the project
• Drive productivity and ensure projects are delivered within the required timeframes and quality standards

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Completed Civil Engineering qualification at NQF Level 7 or equivalent
• 10+ years' relevant experience in civil construction
• Extensive experience working on road construction projects
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, site operations, and project implementation
• Proven experience managing site teams, subcontractors, and construction activities
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, quality control, and project requirements
• Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to work on-site in the Bergville area
