Placements24 is seeking a proactive Civil Site Engineer for a major roads and infrastructure project in Nelspruit (Mpumalanga). The site-based role focuses on active management and supervision of construction activities to ensure quality, safety and timely completion.

You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate with contractors and project teams, interpret drawings and contract documents, and maintain comprehensive site records and reports.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction supervision.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and QC procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Effective leadership and communication skills; able to work independently.
• Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site civil engineering construction activities (earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities).
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents.
