About the Role

Our client, a reputable construction firm, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on various projects in **Randburg, Gauteng**. This role is critical for ensuring that construction projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with engineering designs and specifications, and maintaining project schedules. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all civil engineering construction activities on-site.
• Ensure that construction work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on site.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractors and direct labor, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, plant, and equipment.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Identify potential construction issues and propose effective solutions in consultation with the Project Manager.
• Maintain accurate site records, including measurement of work done for payment purposes.
• Liaise with clients' representatives, consultants, and other stakeholders on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is advantageous.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering construction, with a strong focus on site supervision and management.
• Proven experience in managing site operations for projects such as roads, earthworks, or building foundations.
• Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and stakeholder interaction.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work full-time on construction sites in and around **Randburg, Gauteng**.
