Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Business Development Consultant in South Africa to drive sales of short-term insurance. You will generate leads, conduct needs analyses with clients, and provide professional advice while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will also prepare weekly performance reports, stay informed about product changes, and ensure ethical standards across all interactions with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Full FSCA qualification as per the FSCA list is required.
• FAIS RE5 regulatory examination.
• 12 CPD points are required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in selling short-term insurance.
• All regulatory exams and accreditation must be current.
• Must have own vehicle and valid license.

Responsibilities

• Source sufficient lead-generating opportunities to meet targets.
• Contact clients to conduct needs analysis and offer professional advice.
• Complete weekly reports with leads, quotes, sales, premium metrics.
• Keep informed on product comparisons with competitors.
• Stay updated on company product changes and enhancements.
• Be compliant with all Insurance regulations and ethics.
• Maintain skills to provide specialist, professional advice across business areas.
