Job summary

Sheldon Recruitment and Selection is seeking a diligent Control Room Analyst to join a security operations team in Gqeberha. You will monitor CCTV feeds, perform system health checks, compile shift reports, and support incident escalations.

Ideal candidates hold a Grade 12, have strong computer literacy, excel at report writing, and can work nights, weekends and holidays while staying accurate under pressure.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Experience in Control Room/SOC/Monitoring Centre environment is essential.
• Strong computer literacy and administrative skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Ability to compile professional reports and incident documentation.

Job description

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous experience within a Control Room, Security Operations Centre (SOC), Monitoring Centre, CCTV Monitoring, or Event Analyst environment.
• Strong computer literacy and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to compile professional reports and incident documentation.
• Experience working shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Conduct CCTV and system health checks.
• Identify and escape technical faults and offline systems.
• Manage shift email correspondence and client communications.
• Compile operational shift reports.
• Perform quality assurance on incident and audit reports.
• Monitor compliance with SOPs and operational standards.
• Support Event Analysts during incidents and escalations.
• Maintain fault logs and follow up on outstanding technical issues.
• Assist with training and coaching of junior team members
