You will work with security cameras and local teams, respond to incidents, and produce analytical reports that inform management decisions. This is a shift-based role requiring evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience advantageous in Political Studies, IR, or Social Science
• Interest or direct experience in Executive Protection, Intelligence, Operations, or Corporate Security
• Familiar with current technologies and open-source search methodologies
• Competent with Microsoft Office, Slack, and similar tools
• Willing to sign an NDA and maintain confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Monitor cameras and alarms at assigned locations; dispatch and investigate as needed
• Track events via open-source sources and coordinate with local assets
• Answer inbound calls from employees and security personnel with customer-service focus
• Write security incident investigation reports for situational awareness
• Monitor social media tools for situational awareness
• Evaluate and disseminate intelligence to support action plans
• Contribute to risk-management procedures and processes
• Collaborate with different security teams
• Provide emergency and non-emergency monitoring and notification services

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a GSOC Analyst to join our team in Cape Town.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have a strong aptitude in communication and analytical thinking when responding to events, as well as having a team-first mentality. Daily responsibilities will focus on the monitoring of global events from a variety of sources, assess impact, and then disseminating those incidents to the appropriate parties. Analysts must be able to effectively comprehend data and compose clear and effective communications that will have a global audience. The Analyst will regularly monitor security camera systems and coordinate with physical security teams to respond to any incidents.

This position requires shift work, which can include afternoon/nights/weekend and public holidays, as well as the ability to work 8 to 12-hour shifts.

What You Will Work On

• Monitor Camera & Alarms of assigned locations, providing dispatch and investigation when needed
• Monitor events through open-source collection and coordination with local assets
• Respond to inbound calls from employees and security personnel, providing customer service-focused responses
• Write security incident investigation reports to provide situational awareness and communicate risks to management
• Monitor designated online tools to conduct situational awareness on social media platforms
• Collect, evaluate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood
• Contribute to procedures and processes to standardize and enhance risk management
• Work closely with different security teams
• Provide emergency and non-emergency security system monitoring, event dispatch, and emergency notification services
• Process and maintain a wide variety of files, logs, reports, and forms

What You Will Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent military experience is advantageous - Political Studies / International Relations / Social Science
• Have an interest or direct experience in the following: Executive Protection, Intelligence, Operations, Critical Incident Management, or Corporate Security
• Must be well-versed in current technologies and open-source search methodologies
• Must be a competent user of Microsoft Suite, Slack, and other similar tools
• Must be willing to sign an NDA and maintain strict confidentiality

• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations
• Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations

• Experience working with Genetec (CCTV/Alarm Monitoring ) is strongly preferred
