Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin in Centurion seeks a Control Centre Operator in the Technical Division. You will handle client liaison, answer calls, coordinate with technicians and management, and provide proactive support for alarms and CCTV monitoring.

The role requires PSIRA Grade B, 2+ years' alarm/CCTV experience, and familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Halo PTT, Ajax, Secutel and Videofied. You must be able to work shifts, weekends and standby as scheduled.

Qualifications

• PSIRA Grade B certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ alarm/CCTV call centre experience.
• Experience with listener monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of Halo PTT radio communication.
• Experience with bodycams and guards shift reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office and monitoring software.
• Understanding of CCTV, alarms, access control systems.

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Client liaison and professional client relationship;
• Answer and action all incoming calls;
• Communicate with the client, technicians and management;
• Provide proactive support of alarms, CCTV communication, overactive and inactive reports;
• Assist admin with maintenance of database, zones, user etc.;
• Adhere to all instructions by management;
• Ensure all alarms and CCTV alarms are always actioned in accordance with the prescribed procedures;
• Undergo on-the-job training and personal development on company policies and procedures according to functional requirements;
• Must be able to work shifts, after hours, public holidays and weekends;
• Sound knowledge of company disciplinary procedures;
• Be prepared to be on standby on off days as scheduled;

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

• PSIRA certification Grade B;
• 2+ years’ experience with alarms/CCTV Call Centre will be advantageous;
• Knowledge and experience of listener Monitoring platform
• Experience and knowledge on Halo PTT radio communication
• Knowledge and experience in working on bodycams
• Knowledge and experience in guards shift reporting
• Knowledge and experience of Ajax, Secutel and Videofied alarm systems
• Experience in alarm and CCTV fault finding capabilities
• Electronic occurrence book (online intelligence/Ciims) knowledge would be an advantage;
• Knowledge and experience on response 24, CASI and or Aura dispatch App
• Relevant experience in MS Office and related monitoring software platforms;
• Knowledge of alarms, CCTV, access control and surveillance systems;
• Knowledge and experience in Event Based CCTV monitoring
• Ability to operate with confidence under pressure and during emergencies;
• Good communication skills in English and one other South African language;
• Proven track record in the Electronics Security Industry;
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
