Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a technically skilled individual for a manufacturing support role in Gqeberha. The candidate will work shifts, have own transport, and bring at least 2 years in maintenance or technical work, with extrusion blow moulding and Uniloy machine experience preferred.

The role focuses on achieving 85% production efficiency, controlling raw material wastage, setting machines, performing mould trials, and maintaining quality and safety standards across the factory.

Qualifications

• N3 (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation) or higher N qualification essential (Trade not required).
• Preference for FMCG or Mechanical/Electrical experience.
• At least 2 years work experience in a technical or maintenance role essential.
• Extrusion Blow Moulding experience and experience with Uniloy machines essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in achieving a production efficiency of 85%.
• Assisting in ensuring that raw material wastage levels are maintained below 1.4% of material used.
• Setting machines according to the best practices.
• Conducting mould and material trials as required.
• Reporting and assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored.
• Ensuring top quality products are produced.
• Practicing a high standard of housekeeping and safety.
• Assisting with some fabricating in the factory as needed.
