Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a production-minded individual to join our manufacturing team in East London. The role focuses on supporting efficient production processes, operating and setting machinery, and maintaining quality standards.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in production or manufacturing, with advantageous exposure to blow moulding and mechanical experience. Flexibility for shifts and own transport is required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Shift work and own transport required.
• Blow moulding exposure is advantageous.
• Mechanical experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving production efficiency of 85%–90%.
• Help maintain raw material wastage below 1.4% of material used.
• Set machines according to best practices.
• Conduct mould and material trails as required.
• Report and assist with machine and mould maintenance requirements.
• Ensure machinery and moulds are maintained, serviced and stored.
• Maintain top quality products.
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as reasonably requested by supervisor.

• Assisting in achieving a production efficiency of 85% - 90%
• Assisting in ensuring that raw material wastage levels are maintained below 1.4% of material used
• Setting machines according to the best practices
• Conducting mould and material trails as required
• Reporting and assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements
• Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored
• Ensuring top quality products are produced
• Practicing a high standard of housekeeping and safety
