Job summary

ClayHR Inc. is seeking a qualified Millwright for on-site maintenance in Swellendam, Western Cape. The role includes routine and preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, machining components and spares, and installing new machines.

You will respond to breakdowns, interpret drawings, and perform safety-compliant maintenance during shutdowns. The ideal candidate has a Trade Certificate Millwright and experience in turning, machining, and ARC/TIG/MIG welding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Trade Certificate as a Millwright.
• Experience in plant maintenance advantageous.
• Experience in Turning and Machining compulsory.
• ARC, TIG and MIG welding compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance of all allocated plant and equipment, machinery, facilities and the machining of components and spares.
• Perform plant maintenance during the shutdown period.
• Understand and interpret new drawings and manuals.
• Install new machines and equipment as instructed.
• Respond to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant.
• Regularly inspect plant equipment and report issues.
