Job summary

Weir HBF (Pty) Ltd in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Shift Leader for Production to oversee daily scheduling, drive KPI performance and ensure on-time deliveries. This onsite role demands leadership of a manufacturing team and a commitment to safety.

You will coordinate production activities, report delays, and manage performance to meet targets while promoting a zero-harm culture. Relevant engineering/manufacturing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related experience in engineering, manufacturing, mining or related environment.
• Ability to lead a team and drive performance.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

• Daily scheduling of production activities for maximizing production, quality / output KPI’s and on time deliveries.
• Report any and all delays in achieving daily targets, machine breakdowns and deliveries and take action where targets are not met.
• Ensuring schedule adherence is consistently above 95%.
• Performance manage subordinates who do not meet the targets.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

• Relevant national diploma.
• Minimum of two years of related experience in an engineering, manufacturing, mining or related environment.
• Ability to lead a team.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Nice-to-have(s): Valid overhead crane license(advantageous).
