Job summary

Interwaste (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Plant Operator (Shift Worker) for the Delmas branch to oversee safe plant operations using a range of treatment and processing equipment. The role emphasizes quality control and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years in Effluent Treatment Plant or Chemical Production facilities.
• National Diploma/ B-Tech Engineering qualification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the plant using neutralisers, distillation, cooling towers, evaporators and other equipment.
• Ensure quality of the final product.
• Lead and manage plant operators to ensure safe, efficient production and compliance with procedures and PPE rules.
• Troubleshoot and identify unsafe conditions.
• Report deviations in wastewater treatment, blending, or processes.
• Optimize plant and equipment utilization and monitor maintenance.
